Ein grotesker Jazzclub spielt nach seinen eigenen Regeln. Einem jungen Mann wird dabei der Sitzplatz an der Spitze des Raumes verwehrt. Per Abstimmung in die hinterste Ecke des Clubs verfrachtet, lernt er nach und nach, sich die Gunst der Gäste zu eigen zu machen und begibt sich somit erneut auf eine Reise nach vorne.
